Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI) Fellowship Programme 2021

The Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI), India has introduced CDRI Fellowship Programme in September 2020 with the aim to promote research and innovation on disaster resilient infrastructure (DRI) by supporting practitioners, academicians, and community leaders working in related fields. Under the fellowship CDRI offers 30 one-year grants of US$10,000 each year. The selected fellows under the programme will have an opportunity to interact and exchange ideas with peer groups from across the world, and receive financial aid to support a research work to find solutions to real-world problems related to DRI. 

AIT's Dr. Indrajit Pal, Bangabandhu Chair Professor Joyashree Roy, and Mr. Anil Kumar, a research student have been selected for CDRI Fellowship 2021 for the project titled- "Multi-hazard Risk Indexing of Coastal Critical Infrastructure: A Case Study of Thailand".

The project aims to study impacts of multiple hazards and cascading effects on key coastal critical infrastructures of Thailand. It intends to define risk and sensitivity of the existing critical infrastructures in the eastern and western coast of Thailand considering systemic risk. The project will be able to deliver a Coastal Critical Infrastructure Risk Assessment Matrix (CCIRAM), and related knowledge products and tools.
